Dhanush gives dates to Simbudevan?

After getting critical acclaim and box-office success with Vetrimaran directed Aadukalam, Dhanush have moved over to his Hari directed mass entertainer Venghai.

His next release will be Seedan in which he does a lengthy cameo followed by Sun Pictures Maappillai in Summer.

The buzz is that he is likely to do a film with Simbudevan of Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi fame, by end of the year, after completing his brother Selvaraghavan's Erandum Ulagam.

It seems that Dhanush has cleared Simbudevan's script, a fantasy story which is sure to attract the kids and family audiences.

The actor wants to do something different within the commercial format. What attracted him to Simbudevan's script was the fantasy factor and simplicity in storytelling.

Two big production houses are willing to fund the project, but as of now Simbudevan is polishing up his script.

What about the Dhanush-Vetrimaran hat-trick project? The star himself has made it clear that the project will happen only by mid-2012.

Director Sabapathy’s Pathinaru is all about romance that fails to blossom. The subtle message he wants to convey is that falling in love is easy but there are too many obstacles in the way of true love ending in marriage.
Rich industrialist (Abhishek) only daughter Indu (Madhu Shalini) falls in love with Siva (Mirchi Shiva), her senior in college. Girl and boy secretly want to get married. The girl’s parents fiercely oppose the marriage. Girl’s mom asks them to read a novel Pathinaru.

As they read the novel together, in a flashback, the audiences are told about the circumstances that made the author write the autobiographical story. A boy and girl coming from different strata of society in a village milieu fall in love from their childhood.

The girl is obstinate that under any circumstances that she will only marry the boy. Fate intervenes and separates the lovers. The identity of the village lovers is revealed which forces Shiva and Indu to have a rethink about their marriage plans.

The film is under two hours, but Mirchi Siva has hardly 15 to 20 minutes in the film. It looks as though he is doing a cameo. The entire focus is on the village love story, and most of the happenings lack logic. In the climax Shiva tracking down the old lovers including the author of the book to Kodaikanal is hard to digest.

The only silver lining in the film is Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music. The film does not have storyline strong enough to hold viewers interest post interval and it looked like Sabapathy was in a hurry to end it.

Geethanjali, daughter of Advocate Generalmarry to Selvaragavan

After dating for many years, Selvaragavan married Sonia Agarwal and quickly after the marriage he started dating Actress Andrea causing a split in his family and he took divorce from Sonia!
Now, through his PRO, Selvaragavan has officially announced that he is in love with a girl named Geethanjali, who is the daughter of Advocate General B S Raman.

His circular reads "Today I am sharing a very happy news thats happening in my life. I am in love with Geethanjali who is daughter of B S Raman - Advocate General. By July this year I will marry her"

Vijay's condition to Seeman!

Don't open your mouth unncessarily for any cause and go to jail... Keep quite, shutting everthing till the project is over" was the condition put for Seeman before the start of Pakalavan!
Vijay starrer Pakalavan is to be directed by Seeman and Vijay want to finish it at a stretch and was not willing to wait for Seeman going into jail and coming back to do his job!

Vijay was very straight forward with Seeman and it is said that Seeman has also agreed to the condition of Vijay!

So, till Pakalavan is completed, Seeman will not be available for any comments or speech about Eelam or its people!

A R Rahman loses out on Golden Globe

Oscar winning Indian musician A R Rahman lost out the Golden Globe in the Original Score category to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who won for their music in 'The Social Network'.
The 45-year-old musician was up for his second Golden Globe for the Danny Boyle film '127 Hours' and had just a day earlier bagged the best original song trophy at the 16th Critics' Choice Awards for his number 'If I Rise' from the film.

The musician who had won his first Golden Globe in 2009 for another of the British director's film, 'Slumdog Millionaire', is in the running for his second Oscar with the song, which is a collaboration between him and British popstar Dido.

"A year ago I had no idea I'd have the opportunity to score a film. The idea of standing up here to accept this award is surreal," said Reznor, who is the frontman of the rock group 'Nine Inch Nails', in his acceptance speech.

Rahman's music in '127 Hours', starring James Franco as real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston, who cut off his arm to escape from beneath a boulder after being trapped for more than five days, had received good reviews for it's "haunting tracks" and "wonderful crescendos."

The musician, known as the 'Mozart of Madras' had won two Oscars for his score in 'Slumdog Millionaire' at the 2009 Oscars, taking the film's total haul to eight.

His song 'Na Na' from his Hollywood debut venture Couple's Retreat, was longlisted in the 'Best Original Song' category at the 2010 Oscars but failed to win a nomination.

Rahman, who was honoured with a Padma Bhushan last year, had enjoyed a golden run at the 52nd Grammy Awards, where he had again bagged two gramophones for his music in the 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

Nagma to get married

Nagma has been romantically linked with several stars and a cricketer in the past. But all this turned out to be just rumors, as there was no news about a wedding. The actress, however, now says that she intends to get married soon. However, she was not forthcoming about the details of the groom, sources say.



Nagma has starred in several hit films in Tamil, Telugu, Bhojpuri and Hindi. She then moved on to active politics.
